My ability to blog consistently? That is something I definitely want to improve on. For me I know I can get hung up on the details sometimes. I’ve put off finishing several blog post because I couldn’t get the photos right or because I was missing a price point or sometimes because I felt like I was babbling about nothing. To be honest most of this blogging challenge has felt a bit like me babbling about nothing. I’ve attempted to use it more for the practice of writing, rather than the exercise of creating exciting new content. That in itself I think was a mistake, I should have been choosing a challenge that I felt I could relate to better and actually use to create some worth while content. this is a lesson learned and one I think I will always bear in mind when writing for the future. No matter how many times you read it oe people tell ‘write what you know’ it really is true. I’ve noticed that the blogs written for the challenge are a lot more lifeless than ones I’ve written sparadically.
Although I haven;t been as vigilant or promt with writing this chalenge out I think I’ve actually learned alot from it. I did find alot of the topics really personal and that was difficult to write for me so its helped me define what I prefer to write about. In a sense I think it has also helped to find a voice in my writing, it still early days with alot to build on but its a start.
With all that said, this particular challenge for me it done. Im not going to stop blogging challenges, as I think they are a good way for me to get a bit of inspiration when the muse wont strike but this one was far too personal for me and I would like to try something I feel relates more to where I want this blog to go.
