I’m trying to put together a gijinka of bulbasaur, basically meaning a human version of the pokemon from the orginal 150. Below is the bulb I’ve made so far.
So this is my progress on the bulbasaur bulb for the end of the month. Its going, still not sure if its going well. Its all in one piece and sealed up with padding and backpack straps, which I forgot to add when I was doing the seams so Ive have to attach them to the outside of the bulb. The shape is there when I’m not wearing it but not once Ive put the backpack on, so more modifying needs to happen. I’m thinking if I sew the edges of the bulb over each other then it’ll look more like layers and create a rounded shape more like bulbasaurs.
Ive also go the dress to paint yet spots/marks on and the ears to make but they should take too long once the bulb is sorted. I was going to use the same fabric as the bulb to create the bulbasaur markings on the dress but I ran out of fabric so I figured hey why not just paint them on, and if this costume goes completely pear shaped I have made an awesome bulbasaur bulb cushion that is really soft! More progress later when I’ve actually made more of it!

So lets start with Hats, I bought this one at the MCM and it is the fluffest cutes cat hat in the world. I may look about twelve in it but it has ears! How can you condone and Hat with ears. <3 Oh and the Necklace is one I made!
This is such a rubbish photo. The top had ruffles all over the front which doesnt reflect in the image. Shame. But I love the shape of this outfit. It looks like Ive got such an hour glass figure. And the shoes that went with this, my stunning black spike boots. Another loving it moment.
Now this is what you really come for isnt it? The Nails :p
Two gradients to start. I picked up a couple of new glitters from Barry M and had to do something with them and gradients are something you cannot go wrong with. The glitters are great they clean off so well which is always something that puts me off glitters and they are so shinny I honestly could not resist.
Holy smokes Batman she took a photo in direct sunlight! Yeah so photos in sunlight look far better than in the dark with a lamp, who knew. You can see a definate improvement in the gradients each time I do them. With this one I wanted to jazz it up a bit more and just dotted in red up the side of the nail then dotted white inside the red and made an almost cross over pattern. I will be doing more versions of this one in the future.
I took a much bolder approach with this one. Not sure what spurred it on but I really wanted to something in Green and Black. Again this design will probably pop up a few more times.
My Latest favourite thing to do is doodle on my nails. Our local Pound shop (The UKs answer to the dollar store) had some dotting tools and nail brushes going for, suprisingly, a pound. At the price I thought what the hell, go for it. Worst case I end up using them for something resin related. Here what I’ve done so far.
My First attempts at using the dotting tools. Something simple and something colourfull. I don’t remember all the colours I used but I know the black was BarryM’s Matt Black and the BarryM Silk white.
Next attempt at something a little more complex, I like this one so much I did it twice! Again I used BarryM Matt Black, rimmels pro peppermint, as seen and the Silver was BarryM metallic effect.
No dotting tool or brushes used for this one, gave the sponge gradient effect a try and topped it off with a glitter. No idea what ones I used here. Chances are it was from the BarryM brand.
Possiblely my favourite so far. A gradient of greens with blood (red polish) dripping down. 😀 And I even manage to photograph what I used!
Not the most exciting read at the minute, but sometimes I pick an outfit that I just want to share or I do my make up that makes me feel like I should shout about it. So I am going to, in a very small and discrete little way. This little feed will not be part of the main feed on the blog but it will pop up in the recently updated on the right so keep an eye out. Ill try and remember where I picked up a few of the bits that are showcased but I do have a good sized wardrobe, most of which is picked up from a vast range of shops.
Two outfits that I adore, the one on the left was only taken because I love that Cyberdog
hat. Something I bought ages ago and never developed the knack of wearing but every now and then it looks good. Not sure where the rest of the out fit came from but those jeans are the comfiest things in the world with leg pockets that can fit anything in to them.
The out fit on the right is a tad dresser, fitted black jeans and a waist coat, for me its the shirt that make it. Again the shirt was something I’ve been eying up for a while and I cant say I’m not please with it. Long enough that you can wear it with near anything and light enough that even on a vastly hot day its breathable. If memory serves its from H&M
